10.X.10 - one year later

It's been a year since we went hand in hand together to St. Andrew's Church in Abu Dhabi to get married by our deaf priest who we liked very much and who coached us into married life and warned us of the possible troubles we could run into. That's where we found out that the biggest issues in a marriage arise from 3 very simple causes:
Communication - actually the lack of it...
Money - probably also the lack of $$$
The third one we can't remember… Ops…
We had 2 witnesses, our good friend V. and Mr. A.

A lot has happened since…

We got married twice more. Once with the blessing of Allah in Sharia Court and most recently with the blessing of the Orthodox Church in Romania.
We enjoyed every single one of the ceremonies, but we decided we shall stop with getting married for the next 10 years.
We had two honeymoons, one in Sri Lanka/Maldives and one in New York/Miami, but we shall continue having those for the rest of our lives.

Another milestone was our relocation. In June we found our new home in Ky Anh Vietnam. Challenging, remote and a complete shift from our previous life, it took a while getting used to it, but we are almost there…

Our love has grown stronger and stronger and more passionate every day and we continue to discover each other with amazement and curiosity.

Mrs Van says that she still gets the butterflies when seeing Mr Van close to her, while Mr Van is happy and feels very lucky to have found such a hottie that takes care of him and even bakes cakes now and then...

The first wedding anniversary is traditionally  called "The Paper Anniversary", we exchanged some kitchen paper towels and we baked a double layer chocolate cake.

We would like to thank our family and friends who sent their best wishes today, we love you all and we are lucky to be blessed with such amazing people in our lives.
